Sometimes the best reminders of loved ones passed are things that are in constant use: an old wallet from your great uncle, a cameo necklace from your great aunt, or a vintage watch from your grandfather. It is those special keepsakes that become a classic in your wardrobe, not because they're fashionable, but sentimental. When approached at a store counter with genuine praise; "Oh, I love your wallet!" it is a small joy and tribute to be able to say "thank you, it was my great uncle's; he was a wonderful man." A small community is formed when you find other people with similar artifacts to keep the loved ones they've lost close at hand.
One such person, Alex Heatley, remembers her recently deceased, and tragically missed grandfather, Pete Mitchell. Legendary top driver in high-speed water-ski racing; Pete Mitchell will not soon be forgotten, and will be forever missed by many beloved friends and family. Thus, it is only fitting that Alex keep his memory alive in a very special way. She said "I picked the craziest one I could find" and maybe crazy is one way to describe the lustrous, vintage gold Rolex with the navy blue face, awesome would be another way. The best part is the makeshift plastic wrist band Alex uses to size the massive watch down to fit her small frame; adding a touch of charm and making it clear just how much that "crazy" watch means to her.
